  • Jonathan Evans

Batik artist using a dye and wax-resist technique which enables him to produce realistic imagery. Relying on meticulous drawings and planning, the artist underdyes areas of his paintings first, and builds up images with successive layers of dye and wax. Dyes are both painted and dip-dyed in order to achieve a smooth gradation of colour tones
