Modern bath tubs are generally made from fibreglass or acrylic composites , though cast-iron, glass, wood and natural stone baths are also available.

Standard baths can be free standing, fitted into corners or walls, or sunken into floors, whilst Japanese-style tubs are designed for deep soaking. Walk-in baths are easy to enter for the elderly or disabled.

Chromotherapy, integral lighting and seating, hydrotherapy, water jets and air jets can be incorporated into the baths, whilst double-ended tubs allow two people to bathe in comfort.

Co-ordinated bathroom suites can be found in a separate section on this website.
