(31)

The use of fabric trimmings, also known as Passementerie , enables interior designers to decorate interior fabrics and furnishings. They are commonly used in traditional interiors, although contemporary trimmings that make use of modern materials and styles are also available. Read More

Co-ordinating trimmings are used on soft furnishings such as curtains, pelmets, cushions and furniture fabric. They accentuate these elements of the décor and provide a finishing touch to the room.

Co-ordinated collections of trimmings typically include tassels, curtain tiebacks, and decorative trim such as braids, cords, gimps, fringes and rosettes. A great many variations on these items are available and each trimmings collection will have its own style and character.

The materials used are also wide-ranging but commonly include silk, cotton, linen and velvet.
