Curtain tracks / rails are typically made from metal or plastic, and feature multiple gliders from which the curtains are hung. Although suitable for hanging window curtains, this type of fixture is more commonly used for cubicles on hospital wards, room dividers, and for shower and stage curtains.
Curtain poles are better suited to domestic and commercial curtain hanging applications in windows and bay windows .
The curtains are normally attached to a series of rings, which are fed onto the curtain pole. The poles are produced from materials such as brass, aluminium, stainless steel and timber, with decorative finials at each end.
Silent Gliss
Manufactures hand-, cord- and electrically operated curtain track and decorative pole systems. Tubular poles operate using nylon gliders that run in aluminium channels hidden within the profile. As the channel is positioned at the base of the pole, the brackets do not interfere with the passage of the curtain, giving a smooth and silent operation
