COBA Flooring

COBA is one of the most established names in the manufacture and supply of matting and flooring throughout Europe.

COBA was formed in 1966 trading as COBA Plastics Ltd. It then operated from premises in central England run by its two co-founders who embarked on the business of manufacturing plastic extrusions. This business went from strength to strength, and today is regarded as a world class manufacturer of thermoplastic extrusions utilising state-of-the-art technology in its design and manufacturing processes.

It is from these roots in manufacturing plastic extrusions that COBA's then Matting Division was born, when it commenced manufacture of COBAmat safety matting back in 1979 as an alternative to wooden duck-boarding. COBA was one of the first companies to introduce the concept of industrial 'safety matting' in the UK.
