The Contract Flooring Association was formed in 1974 by the amalgamation of three small flooring associations: The Floor Covering Contractors Association, whose members specialised primarily in smooth floor coverings: the Association of Flooring Contractors (hardwood flooring) and the Carpet Planners Association.
Its present membership consists of contractors engaged in the installation of all floor finishes including in-situ floorings and sub-floor screeds, with manufacturers and distributors of flooring materials, adhesives and accessories. There is also a category of membership for flooring consultants.
The objectives of the CFA are to promote the highest standards of professionalism, safety and training in the contract flooring industry, while at the same time providing essential services and expert information to ensure the quality and productivity of our members’ business.
The CFA also publishes the Contract Flooring Journal, featuring industry news, features, statistics, training directory, expert advice and much more.
