Scenic Silks

Scenic Silks is the work of Barbara Meynell, her work created on hand-rolled silk scarves are made using wax-resist and steam-fixed paints.  Each piece that is created is unique and is individually hand painted.  She also offers a bespoke service to customers, whether it be designing exclusive products to coordinate with an outfit or to illustrate an idea.

Additionally she creates Batik pictures, these are created on silk, paper and cotton by a process of alternate painting and waxing. The finished pieces are then professionally framed. These pieces are inspired by the beautiful coastal landscapes of Wirral and the mountains of Snowdonia.
