Creative Spiral

Gideon Peterson studied sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art working in a variety of materials and techniques. After graduating he worked for various artists such as Sir Anthony Caro making sculpture for galleries and scenic art companies designing and producing high quality work for film, television, theatre etc.

In 1997 he returned to Wales and focused on sculpture. Public art commissions are now his main body of work. He also designs and makes pieces of furniture and craft approaching them from a sculptural perspective. Using different types of metal, often incorporating different types of elements such as glass, stone and wood.

Much of his inspiration comes from nature and the landscape within which he lives as well as his Celtic roots.
