Reggiani
The Reggiani adventure began in the ‘50s, with the concreteness distinctive of artisans and all the Italian creativity. Goffredo Reggiani, eclectic entrepreneur and founder of the company, started out with decorative lamps: the early models were his creations, he personally constructed the prototypes but very soon his love of perfection drove him to get artists, architects and experts involved in his dream, surrounding himself with the best to incessantly improve the luminaires and their light. The results proved him right and the craft studio turned into an industry.
The turning point came in the late ‘70s: the move into lighting technology projected the company into a brand new world, where scientific research joined aesthetics. Reggiani invented and created the first series of luminaires for halogen lamps with dichroic reflector in Europe achieving a success that stimulated everyone to do more and even better. Thus began an endless series of Reggiani innovations, many of which were then adopted as international standards.
Reggiani has received many prestigious awards and prizes as testimony to the important role it plays on the European scene. Soaring from one height to the next, in partnership with great architects and artists like Gio Ponti and Richard Rogers, and alighting at the top with Fabio Reggiani’s great invention for energy saving and design freedom: the IOS System. The ability of Reggiani to reinvent light now takes shape in the LED LUCE system using the exclusive LED light source incorporated into the most effi cient optics.
