John Cullen Lighting

John Cullen Lighting was set up in 1981 by John Cullen. In 1983, Design Director Sally Storey was brought in to design the first Chelsea showroom. It is her architectural background along with her design flair and vision that can still be seen throughout the company today.

New Design Director Lucy Martin joined Sally Storey in 1997 to help oversee and inspire the growing team of lighting designers. The Managing Director, Colin Brown, ensures the smooth running of the warehouse as well as the rest of the business. The company now employs a team of around 35 people.

The company's showroom in the Kings Road features a walk-in Lighting Pod and over 10 room sets including a garden, allowing architects and interior designers to see the latest light fittings and technology at work.

John Cullen now offer a wide range of in-house events to educate the industry about lighting, from RIBA-accredited CPDs for design professionals to master classes for the general public.

The John Cullen Design Team works on new build and refurbishment projects around the world, however large or small, ranging from contemporary homes to listed properties with period features, or even yachts.

The company is mindful of energy efficiency whether it is in designing a lighting scheme or designing new light fittings. All products are designed in house and manufactured in the UK.

A new warehouse provides more space for the packaging and dispatch of a growing number of products. A new counter has been set up which allows trade customers to see the products in action.
