Wrought iron log baskets are made by bending and twisting the material by hand to give an intricate knotted appearance. They are ideal for storing fuel and can be used as a high-end fireplace accessory, next to an open fire or woodburning stove. The baskets enable a good stock of wood and briquettes to be kept close by.
They are also often used as braziers as a centerpiece in gardens.

Baskets will weather over time if used in a moisture-prone environment. Whilst wrought iron products can be left to develop their own patina, restoration is possible through priming and painting. If they are used as braziers, more rapid oxidation will occur.
