Sea Containers House is a prominent feature along the River Thames, both within the urban context of the Southbank, and the cultural corridor that runs west from the Tate Modern to Royal Festival Hall.
This complex building has been designed and refurbished as a collection of brand ‘neighbourhoods’ drawn together by a network of public spaces, such as the amphitheatre, winter garden, restaurants and cafes.
With a focus on enhanced communication through movement, choice and availability of a diverse range of spaces, Sea Containers House provides a unique and highly effective environment that drives collaboration and innovation across the business.
Benchmark collaborated with Dovetail Furniture for BDG’s workplace design at Sea Containers House.
Sharing tables with integrated cable management were made for each of the seven floors. The largest table seats 30 people. Each has a different finish including leather-bound top with timber legs, stained timber top with patinated mild steel legs, and natural oak top with patinated zinc legs.
All are highly tactile and pleasurable to use. Made in high-quality natural materials they are hard-wearing and will gain even more character over time.
