Lifesize bespoke artificial olive tree for restaurant
A new high-end restaurant wanted a feature olive tree to form the centrepiece of its main dining room. A complicating factor was the presence of a reflective dome in the ceiling that the tree needed to fit within, while still having an attractive spreading canopy that diners could relax under. A new high-end restaurant wanted a feature olive tree to form the centrepiece of its main dining room. A complicating factor was the presence of a reflective dome in the ceiling that the tree needed to fit within, while still having an attractive spreading canopy that diners could relax under.
Work undertaken
Drawings were made of the exact shape and dimensions required for the client to approve along, with samples of the foliage type to be used.
The tree was designed and hand-built then delivered to site on a single pallet.
The landscaper was able to assemble it within an hour from the fully illustrated instructions supplied.
Outcome
The restaurant was delighted with the result and the olive tree is now used in all the restaurant's marketing material. It is also a talking point with guests, who usually want to rub the leaves as they can't believe it isn’t real.
