The Takara deep soaking tub, part of Cabuchon's market-leading range of Japanese ofuro-style baths, is based on nearly 30 years of design experience and customer feedback.

Like all of the company's deep soaking tubs, the Takara is easy to enter and exit, but the incorporation of two ergonomically placed bars adds an additional sense of security for those who feel they want it.

Easy access

The most distinctive features of the Takara are the grab rails set above its long armrests. These rails, together with the supportive, carefully contoured seat, make the bath feel exceptionally secure. It can also be used with an overhead hoist or bath lift.

Unless it is installed semi-sunken into a deck, the Takara requires an external step for easy access.

Ideal for small bathrooms

The bath has a compact design, with external dimensions of 1372mm by 860mm. It is therefore well suited for use in smaller bathrooms.

Soaking tubs are increasingly being chosen for smaller bathrooms, including en-suite bathrooms. The Takara is therefore designed with a flat footwell that makes it suitable for use with an overhead or wall-mounted shower. On request, it can also be supplied with a bath/shower screen.

Key benefits

  • Ideal for smaller bathrooms
  • Grab bars for an added sense of security
  • Footrests for added stability and comfort
  • Easy access
  • A deep bathing position, keeping the bather well supported and stress-free
  • A flat footwell for showering
  • A compact, water-saving design
  • An excellent Hydrotherapy bath

Use and placement

Like all our soaking tubs, the Takara is suitable for all sizes of bathroom and it can be installed in a number of different ways. It can be used as a corner bath or set into an alcove; it can be sunk into a floor or built into a deck. It can also be set against a wall or used as free standing bath, if fitted with side panels.

Hydrotherapy option

The combination of a relaxed seated posture and the bath's steeply angled side walls make the Takara an excellent spa hydrotherapy bath. The side walls minimise the distance between the water jets and the bather's muscles, which aids heat transference and the effectiveness of the hydro-massage. Likewise, the depth of water adds buoyancy and helps minimise strain on neck and shoulder muscles, so the user can remain relaxed.

25-year guarantee

Like all Cabuchon baths, the Yasahiro is made from the company's own proprietary composite, Ficore®, which carries a 25-year guarantee.

  • Resistant to knocks and abrasion
  • Resistant to staining and damage by heat or aggressive chemicals
  • Exceptionally strong
  • Enables a fineness of detail in designs
  • Can be easily repaired in the unlikely event of damage

Unlimited colour choice

All Cabuchon baths are handmade to order and the use of Ficore® enables the company to offer the Takara in literally any colour.

Other sanitary-ware manufacturers' standard colours can be matched for no extra charge.

On request, Cabuchon can produce the bath in any special colour - eg to match the base colour of a fabric, stone, wood or ceramic tile.
