Never one to rest on our laurels here at our Bristol headquarters, Hamilton is growing our collection of decorative wiring accessories to appeal to interior designers and customers with a particularly keen attention to detail and desire for a high-end finish.
Increased degrees of customisation – as standard
Launching early autumn 2022, a new range of dimmer knobs and toggle switches offers customers an unrivalled choice of designs with increased degrees of customisation – within our standard range. This enables designers to choose ‘off-the-shelf’ accessories to complement their interior scheme perfectly.
New finishes and forms to set them apart from the rest
Each new design offers a unique machine finish and form that sets them apart from market alternatives and indeed the smooth finish of Hamilton’s own current, standard dimmer knob and toggle switch design.
Designed and assembled in Bristol and machine turned from satin brass, three new dimmer knob and three new toggle switch designs are currently available in Satin Brass or Matt Black finish – achieved through a high-quality powder coating process using RAL 9005 to achieve the perfect on-trend black colour and matt finish.
And as with all Hamilton collections, custom designs and finishes are also available for those totally unique projects.
The first design is available in both a dimmer knob and toggle switch format. Evolving from the smooth finish of Hamilton’s original dimmer knob and toggle switch design, this features an understated knurled diamond pattern finish to the upper / outermost part of the knob / switch – adding texture that is both subtle to the touch and to the eye.
Design 2 is an evolution of this, and also available as a dimmer knob and toggle switch. The unique three-groove form, offers a bold and yet effortlessly stylish option for both contemporary and period interiors.
Taking the development of this design a step further, the third design is available as a dimmer knob only and replicates the same knurled finish as the first design, but with the addition of a gently sloping brim, creating a softer interval with the faceplate. This design has a particular sense of sturdiness about it in both appearance and feel.
The fourth and final design is only available as a toggle switch – and a unique one at that. Strangely tactile with a shape, evocative of a fishtail, it has a certain retro appeal.
Interchangeable designs
The new dimmer knobs and toggle switches can each be paired with face plates from any of Hamilton’s decorative metal designer ranges including Linea CFX, Hartland, Sheer, and our Cheriton Victorian and Georgian collections. The dimmer knobs can also be retro-fitted to replace an old knob design with new.
