Challenge

isGroup was contacted by FRA, the designers for Spring Wharf, a new high-specification residential apartment development by RGB in Bath city centre, for assistance with the development and manufacture of the concept designs for internal signage to ensure a quality end product.

Solution

The majority of the signage was manufactured from 12mm FSC-certified birch plywood cut to size, UV-printed with a top coat of clear lacquer as a protective layer. Various samples were prepared for sign-off to ensure consistency of Pantone colour through the varying processes of paint, print and material.

The contract involved:

  • lift directories

  • door signs

  • floor identifiers

  • fire action notices

  • disclaimer signs

  • vinyl apartment numerals

  • entrance and intercom signs with engraved infilled logo and text

isGroup also manufactured one external totem with feature FSC Cumaru hardwood timber edging. The sign was manufactured with an internal steel framework clad with V-grooved aluminium painted panels incorporating laser-cut text and graphics.

Outcome

The end product enhanced the visual appeal of the internal wayfinding.
