For over 25 years, Cabuchon's team of experienced British craftsmen has specialised in the production of bespoke baths for one-off and small-scale projects.
Bespoke capabilities
The company can create completely new bath designs from client concepts or it can customise a bath from the Cabuchon Bathforms range to suit a customer's exact requirements.
It can provide custom baths in any size, featuring any shape, style, angle, curve or colour. Each bath will therefore be a unique expression of the customer's personal tastes and requirements. Baths can also be made to include features that could not be supplied by mass manufacturers.
The design process
For any custom bath, the design process begins with detailed discussion with the client, followed by the production of drawings and creative proposals that help to deliver the perfect bespoke solution. Once the precise design and specification have been agreed - including the selection of any added features such as a hydrotherapy system - the company will create the necessary tooling and begin the painstaking process of hand-crafting.
Clients
Cabuchon works with both private and commercial clients so, in addition to producing one-off units, it can also develop custom baths for architects, designers and other clients who may require larger scale production runs.
Customising Cabuchon Baths
Cabuchon consistently matches colours for all current brands of ceramic sanitaryware, as well as many past ones. It is also possible to match the colour of tiles, paints, textiles or marble base colours. Cabuchon baths can be finished in high gloss or matt, or the external surface can be primed ready for a specialist paint finish. The size of external rims can often be adapted to fit a particular space.
Materials
Bespoke and customised baths are manufactured from Ficore®, a strong, rigid composite with a very long and successful track record. Developed exclusively by Cabuchon's parent company, Design & Form, Ficore overcomes the shortcomings of acrylic, glass fibre and vitreous enamelled bath materials while retaining their advantages.
Benefits of FICORE®:
- It is stronger and more rigid than any other non-metal bath materials.
- As a fused composite it cannot delaminate or lose its structural integrity.
- It retains heat considerably longer than other bath materials.
- It permits more clearly defined detail lines, tighter radii and curves.
- It is resistant to most acids and alkalis, and to cigarette burns.
FICORE® baths are supplied with a 25 year guarantee.
