Derived from the ofuro, the traditional Japanese deep soaking bath, the roomy Nirvana, with its sloping rounded back, curved seat and arm and foot rests, is Cabuchon's best-selling deep-soaking tub. Clients have described the sensation of bathing in the Nirvana as being “like sitting in a comfortably supportive armchair.”

Compact and versatile

The Nirvana's simple and compact dimensions make it compatible with all kinds of decorative surrounds so it can be made to suit a wide variety of décors. It can be set into a corner or niche, sunk into a deck or set into a wooden, stone or tiled surround. It can also be installed free-standing.

Installation options

When installed in the centre of a bathroom, customers can choose to fit their own surrounds – eg stone, tiles or wooden panelling – or they can request a bespoke panel to cover the four sides. This panel can be supplied either as an integral component of the bath or separately, for subsequent installation on-site. In the latter case, the panel will be supplied as a single, robust piece. Note that a bespoke panel can also be supplied to cover just one, two or three sides - ie if the Nirvana is to be used in an alcove, in a corner or with one side set against a wall.

If it is not sunk into a deck, its greater height makes a low step a useful aid to entry. The step may be removable or incorporated into the surround.

Hydrotherapy

The Nirvana, like all Cabuchon deep soaking tubs, is especially well suited to the use of a Cabuchon hydrotherapy system. It is also suitable for use with an overhead shower and bath / shower screen. It will pass through a standard 730mm / 29" door when turned on its side.

Colour choices

The Nirvana is made using Ficore®, a composite material developed by Cabuchon Bathforms. It is strong, rigid and resistant to damage by acids, alkalis and cigarette burns. It retains heat considerably longer than other bath materials and it can be manufactured in any colour or, indeed, in a combination of colours.

Every Nirvana is handmade in Britain by the company's team of highly skilled craftsmen.
