The Osbourne is a modern double-ended rendering of the classic Victorian roll top bath design and has a romantic European influence. Well suited for use in classical interiors, it allows comfortable shared bathing and is available in any colour.
A key component of its design is its decorative plinth, which is supplied as a separate piece to allow easy passage through doorways prior to the bath's installation. Like the bath, the plinth is made from sturdy Ficore® (see below) and can therefore be supplied in any colour; customers often choose a colour that contrasts with the bath itself.
Installations
The Osbourne is typically set against a wall and, for a small extra charge, can be supplied with a special tiling flange. This allows installers to create a neat, watertight joint between bath and wall. The bath is also supplied with an infill panel and a cut-out section at the rear, which allows for easy plumbing access.
Ficore: a 25 year guarantee
The Osbourne is made using Ficore, a composite material developed exclusively by Cabuchon Bathforms. Strong and highly resistant to damage by excess heat, acids, alkalis and abrasion, it retains heat considerably longer than other bath materials. It is this that allows Cabuchon to offer a 25 year guarantee on all its baths.
Unlimited colour choice
The use of Ficore also allows the Osbourne (like any Cabuchon bath) to be supplied in literally any colour or combination. At no extra charge, its colour can be matched with another manufacturer’s standard sanitaryware colour. For a small additional charge, Cabuchon can match the base colour of materials such as stone or fabric, if the customer is able to provide a suitable sample. Ficore normally produces a high gloss finish but, optionally, it can be supplied matt or primed for the application of specialist paint effects.
Manufacture
The Osbourne is hand made to order and is supplied with holes pre-drilled for the waste and overflow. Holes are not pre-cut for taps, spouts and hand showers, since their placement is best decided when the user and installer can see the bath in situ.
Like all Cabuchon baths, the Osbourne is produced at the company's workshop in Lancashire by a highly skilled team of experienced craftsmen.
