Aldershaw's traditional handmade terracotta floor tiles are made in a manner that would have been familiar to the Romans, with the exception of modern clay grinding equipment and electronically-controlled firing to ensure performance consistency in terms of durability and strength.

Tiles are manufactured from Aldershaw's own Wadhurst clay, which is blended with carefully selected clays to produce up to six different colours.

Tiles range up to 12x12" and are available in a wide range of shapes and patterns. Special shapes can be made to order.

Complementary encaustic tiles are also provided, which are manufactured using the same methods known to medieval monks.
