IOTA manufactured the LOOP chair using a proprietary, patent-protected form of fibre reinforced cement (FRC). The material is a consolidated blend of cement, limestone, cellulose fibres and polyvinyl polymers, and the resulting composite is durable, weatherproof and yet lightweight.
