Burke & Marshall Ltd

Burke and Marshall designs and makes handmade furniture, producing both bespoke pieces to client specifications and limited edition studio designs. The company is run by brothers Sam Burke Phillips and James Marshall Phillips, who work from a workshop in Bedminster. Their approach uses traditional joinery methods, with each item crafted by hand from timber.

In addition to larger furniture, Burke and Marshall also offers a range of smaller handcrafted home items under the Casa Curio collection. The business collaborates with architects, interior designers, and kitchen fitters, and is named after the founders’ grandfather, Burke Marshall, a former lawyer and civil rights advocate.
