Engineered oak floor boards consist of a cross-bonded multiply backing for added stability with a thick wear-layer of oak on top, making them indistinguishable from solid wood boards once fitted.

Originally created for use with underfloor heating, engineered boards are often specified in situations needing a product that is easier to fit than solid boards. Engineered boards can be floated, glued or nailed.

They can also be used straight from the pack, requiring no time to adjust to room temperature.

Finishes

Lacquered, pre-oiled and untreated finishes.

Grades

Prime, character and rustic.

Installation

Engineered boards can be floated directly over an underlay, without the need for bonding or nailing. This doesn’t sacrifice durability and still provides that solid underfoot feel, particularly when a 21mm thick board is used.

Complementary products, such as oils, finishes, underlay, skirting and mouldings are also supplied.
